Kanchenjunga Circuit Trekking offers the flexibility to choose your own trekking schedule, with the best time to visit being the spring and autumn months of March, April, May, and late September to November. During these months, the trek offers the best mountain visibility, safe trails, beautiful terraced farm fields, and lush green forests, as well as ideal weather conditions. Winter may bring extremely cold weather, but it also offers a unique and secluded experience, with great mountain views.

We highly recommend visiting during the peak seasons of April to May for the blooming of large species of rhododendrons and alpine flowers, and from September to October for the harvest season in the area. The choice ultimately depends on the trekker's personal preference. However, the summer season is not recommended due to unpredictable rainfall, humid weather, and hazards such as leeches.

You can extend your Nepal Visa at the headquarters of the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu. The office in Kathmandu is the only office of the Immigration Department which extends both tourist and non-tourist visas.

You have to apply for an extension of your Nepal visa before it expires. If you apply afterward, you will have overstayed your visa, and you can be fined or even detained or arrested. You can extend a tourist visa for 15 days for a fee of USD 45. You have to pay an additional USD 3 for every day after that.
