Introduction of the Trail:

The Ghorepani Poon hill known as (Annapurna balcony) panorama trek is a very popular short trek into the beautiful Annapurna region. Ghorepani trek offers a perfect commune to witness the beauty of the glorious Annapurna region within a few days than other treks. The trail passes through green meadows, gorgeous valleys, dense mossy forests of pine, rhododendron and magnolia and the alluring glimpse of the high mountains. The whole of Ghorepani is densely forested with beautiful rhododendron trees and its beauty is multiplied when they bloom during spring. One of the highlights of the trek is to climb to the highest point on Poon - Hill 3,210 meters, (10,531ft), to inspect a dozen Mountain View very close to our eyes, possibly the most spectacular mountain vista on earth. The sunrise, from the viewpoint at Poonhill, over the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range, is known to be one of the most heart-touchy views on the earth. This is an easy trek that can be enjoyed by trekkers of all ages with no risk of altitude sickness. The splendid mountain vista, rich ethnic Gurung, Magar (specially poon) culture and diverse flora and fauna justify the popularity of Ghorepani Poon hill trek. Ghorepani Poonhill (Annapurna balcony) trekking can be enjoyed throughout the year except during Monsoon (July to August).

And Chitwan National Park formerly Royal Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 km2 (360 sq mi) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the Chitawan District. In altitude, it ranges from about 100 meters (330ft), in the river valleys to 815 meters (2,674ft), in the Churia Hills Royal Chitwan National Park is a world heritage property, and it also contains a Ramsar Site – Beeshazari Tal in its buffer zone. The Royal Chitawan National Park has a history of over 3 decades in park management and rich experience in resolving conflicts between the park and the people.

It is a rich natural area in the Terai, the subtropical southern part of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 5,44 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.

Detailed Itinerary

 Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport 1,350 meters (4,429ft) transfer to hotel included breakfast service by tourist bus or in a car:

Welcome to the land of white glowing mountains. While flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience as the exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Langtang, Ganesh Himalaya ranges peaks before your landing In Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport. Then the representative from Himalayan Diamond Adventure will have reached there to welcome you. After landing your aircraft, we come to pick you up with our welcome greetings. Collecting your luggage, we drop you off to Hotel. You will have welcome dinner in the Nepali cultural dance restaurant with your guide’s briefing about the day program tomorrow.  The hotel service includes beds and breakfast.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley the UNESCO world’s heritage sites. With a proficient tour guide, private vehicle service:  

 Kathmandu, being a historical and cultural heart of Nepal, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers, and adventure seekers. The city presents a wonderful mixture of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities that bear immense historical, cultural and religious significance. There will be a half-day guided tour to the famous & biggest Hindu shrine Pashupatinath temple, the largest Buddhist stupa in town Boudhanath, the 15th-century palace of 55 windows Bhaktapur and Soyambhunath stupa. In the evening, a trip orientation meeting will be organized.

Day 03: A scenic bus journey to Pokahora  820 meters (2,690ft), 200km, 7hrs  transfer to Hotel included breakfast service:

Today we drive tourist bus 200km from Kathmandu to Pokhara 7 hours very scenic drive stunning mountain terrain view such as Ganesh Himalaya range, Bhauda Himal, Rani peak, group of Himalachuli, Ngadi Chuli, Manasalu, Lamjung, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna III, Annapurna II, Annapurna south and may others mountains and low land also rich for landscape, many cultivated the farmer’s farmlands, following down Trisuli river, Marsyangdi river, hydro powers, waterfalls, green hills, etc. After transferring to Pokhara Hotel included the breakfast service, we will visit the International museum, lakeside free walk.

Day 04: Drive Jeep or tourist bus to Hille 1,220 meters (4,002ft), the trek starts to Ulleri 1,960 meters (6,430ft), about 7 hours. Overnight at the lodge:
After driving off 40 km, about 1 hour and 30 minutes to Nayapul, from Pokhara, our trek begins to Hile another 3 hours, from Nayapul bus stop. It depends on the client’s physical fitness, after walking along the off-road towards trail crosses the new bridge, Modi Khola, Birethanti teahouses. The trail passes through the local people’s inhabited settlements and farmer’s cultivated lands, such as rice fields, potato, barley, maize, and vegetables. The trail continuously passes along the off-road following up the north bank of Bhurungdi Khola and villages to Hile - Tikhedhungga, with beautiful landscape. After leaving Tikhedhunga the trail ascents along the steep stone staircase, to not yet reach Ulleri at 1,960 meters (6,430ft). We spend overnight at Lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,860 meters (9,383ft), walk 7 hours through Oak, rhododendron green lust forest. Overnight at the lodge:

Today we start our journey continue way up to Ghorepani the panoramic Poon Magar village Ghorepani Ghorepani is the most touristic place in this Annapurna panorama region. Leaving from Ulleri, our steps continue to ascend more gentle up way, through  Poon Magar’s tea houses and green lush forests, such as oak, rhododendron, and magnolia, towards Banthanti at 2,250 meters (7,381ft), thoroughly Nangethati 2,460 meters (8,070ft), and eventually reach to Ghorepani large Poon Magar inhabited settlement. Along the way, we have a splendid landscape and magnificent view of Machhapuchhre Himal 6,993meters (22,943ft). After continue walking off 7 hours we reach Ghorepani. We spend overnight at Lodge included Breakfast and Dinner with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 06: Hike to Poon - hill 3,210 meters (10,531ft) the Sunrise view, trek to Tadapani 2,630 meters (8,628ft), 7 hours of tranquil walk. Overnight lodge:

Today, we get up early in the morning for hiking to Poon - Hill 3,210 meters (10,531ft), the best panoramic viewpoint. From an elevation 3,210 meters (10,531ft), we can have a superb view of the sunrise, and panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Manasalu and others mountains view on a clear day. After the scenic hike and captivating Mountain View, we descend back to Ghorepani lodge. After our usual breakfast time, the day starts to walk. Today we move towards Tadapani under the rhododendron, bamboo, oak and pine jungle with tranquility landscape. We spend overnight at Lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandrung 1,940 meters (6,364ft), 6 hours of the downhill trail, under the rhododendron covered green lush forest. Overnight at the lodge:

Leaving Tadapani, we descend more gently downhill throughout blooming rhododendron forests to Bhaisi Kharka, it is a perfect place for a tea break. After refreshment we trek down to Ghandrunk Gorkha army Gurung’s village through the jungle, where is a large Gurung community, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. They have own dialect, unique culture, costume, and lifestyle. This village is possibly the popular tourist destination that offers beautiful mountain views and having an easy connection with Pokhara or Kathmandu. Overnight at Lodge included Dinner and Breakfast with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 08: Journey towards Sarangkot 1,552 meters (5,092ft) drive to Nau danda and trek to Sarangkot, the bird’s eye view. Overnight at the lodge:

The departure of  Ghandrung Gurung village we walk continue slightly downhill along the stone staircase to reach to Jeep station Kimche. Kimche is getting busier due to the vehicle station.  Today we drive up to Nau danda throughout the terraced rice fields, villages, Tikhedhungga, Nayapul. Driving off an hour and 30 minutes, we reach to Naudanda and then, the trek starts to continue to Sarangkot another 2 hours along the road. Sarangkot is a hillock. It offers a captivating surrounding mountain view and fascinating landscape of Pokhara valley. We spend overnight at guesthouse included dinner and breakfast service.

Day 09: Trek down to Lakeside Hotel 820 meters (2,690ft) 2 hours of down vertical way. Hotel included breakfast service:

After an outstanding circular mountains view we trek down to Pokhara valley with captivating lake’s view. After walking off 2 and a half hours down a vertical way to the lake we reach to Hotel. We stay in the Hotel including the breakfast service.

Day 10: Drive to Chitawan Chitrasari or Tadi where our company staffs will meet you and guide you to your destination:

Drive tourist bus from Pokhara to Chitwan, our staff will meet you at either Chitrasari or Tadi and accompany you to the resort where light refreshment awaits! A full briefing will be given to outline both the facilities and program for the duration of your trip, then your room will be allocated to you.
13.00 hrs: Lunch.
15.00 hrs: Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park visitor's center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife & Sunset view from the bank of Rapti River.
19.00 hrs: Tharu cultural dance performance (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or slide show presentation that surrounds Chitwan.
20.00 hrs: Dinner.

Day 11: Entirely sightseeing Day:
06.00 hrs: Wake up call.
06.30 hrs: Breakfast.
07.00 hrs: Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching, for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles(the marsh mugger and fish-eating gharial)and jungle walk on the way back where one can enjoy the elephant bathing.
13.00 hrs: Lunch.
15.00 hrs: Elephant Safari - An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the royal Bengal tiger(If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Royal Chitwan National Park their home.
19.00 hrs: Tharu cultural dance presentation or slides show presentation.
20.00 hrs: Dinner.

Day 12: Half-day for sightseeing and drive to Kathmandu Hotel with included Bed and breakfast:
06.00 hrs: Wake up call.
06.30 hrs: Breakfast.
07.00 hrs: Visit the government elephant breeding center.
10.00 hrs: Departure for onward journey.

Day 13: Spare Day, on this day you can shopping or free sightseeing, farewell dinner in the evening:

Today is free sightseeing or shopping day for you. And in the evening farewell dinner in Nepal culture Restaurant.

Day 14: Departure for home, drop you in International Tribhuwan Airport at the terminal room, in your flight checking time:

After 14 days of Himalayan home away from home, we drop you at the international airport at the terminal room in your flight checking time for home. See off.

Like a Black Diamond, Helmet, Harness, Crampon, Jumar ATC guide or Figure of 8, Ice axe, Carabiners, and La Sportiva alpine boot.

We provide you with sufficient and hygienic meals and dessert with hot drinks as your choice and book clean and comfortable rooms (hotel) on a mountain in advance of your trip in mountain lodges.
