The Annapurna circuit trek name is popular for a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km, (100-145 mi), depending on where the motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. The trek rises to an altitude of 5,416 meters (17,769ft), on the Thorung La pass, touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif, crossing Thorung La 5,416 meters (17,769ft), the highest pass on this trek. Practically all trekkers hike the route counter-clockwise, as then the daily altitude gain is slower and crossing the high Thorong La pass is easier and safer.

The mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes the Annapurna Massif Annapurna I  [8,091 meters/26,545ft], Annapurna II [7,937 meters/26,040], Annapurna-IV [7,525 meters/24,688ft],  Annapurna III [7,555 meters/24,786ft],  Dhaulagiri [8,167 meters/26,794ft], Machhapuchhre  [6,997 meters/22,956ft] ,Manaslu [8,163 meters/26,784ft], Gangapurna  [7,455 meters/24,458ft] and Tilicho - Peak [7,134 meters/23,405ft], Numerous peaks of 6,000 to 8,000 meters in elevation rise from the Annapurna range.

Introduction of the Trail:

You can take a bus, jeep, or motorcycle from Kathmandu for Manang. Within 10 to 12 hours of drive through the plain small settlements, towns, terraced fields, and farmlands you can reach Manang. The route will also include the Trishuli River, Marsyangdi River canyon valley, and enchanting landscapes. Manang is the hidden Buddhist town where you can find a bakery cafe, yak steak & burger, hot-shower facility, WIFI, and clean comfortable rooms. Trekkers should at least spend two days in Manang to get acclimatized with the altitude and also explore the region before moving further. You can go on a side trip to the Milarepa Cave, Ice Lake, or Gangapurna Lake. These side trips will help you to rejuvenate energy for the upcoming adventure.

After fabulous Manang trek, trip to cross challenging yet thrilling Thorong La Pass located at 5,416 meters (17,769ft). Crossing the pass, you will reach the arid valley of Mustang. The trail goes through Jomsom, the most gorgeous region of Nepal, Marpha, famous for it's Apple products, Kali Gandaki River, where you will see the deepest gorge of the worlds, Kali Gandaki Gorge, Tatopani, known for its natural hot spring, and finally take you to Ghorepani. Further, the trip continues to Pokhara, the city of adventure sports where one can do boating, paragliding, ultra-light flight, mountain biking, caving, and many other activities. After spending a day or two here, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Trip Highlights

Annapurna circuit trek can be completed within 15 to 16 days, during the trip will have spectacular landscapes.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350 meters (4,429ft), transfer to tourist standard Hotel included breakfast service by tourist bus or in a car:
Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience as the exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Langtang, Ganesh Himalaya ranges peaks before your landing In Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport. After landing aircraft our team will meet you at the airport and escort you to your Hotel in and especially for joining the group tourist Bus. We meet in the Hotel at 18:00 pm and leave for the Restaurant to welcome dinner with culture dance.  In welcome dinner guide brief, you about the day program of Tomorrow and leave you in your Hotel. 

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing of the UNESCO world heritage sites Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur valley 1,350 meters (4,429ft), with tour guide and private vehicle:

Kathmandu, being a (UNESCO world heritage sites), historical and cultural heart of Nepal, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers, and adventure seekers. The city presents a wonderful mixture of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities that bear immense historical, cultural and religious significance. There will be a half-day guided tour to the famous & biggest Hindu shrine Pashupatinath temple, the largest Buddhist stupa in town Boudhanath, the 15th-century palace of 55 windows Bhaktapur and Soyambhunath stupa. In the evening fare well dinner.

Day 03: A scenic bus journey Chame 2,670 meters (8,760ft), about 250 kilometers, 14 to 15 hours. Stay in the lodge:

Today we take a scenic bus journey Kathmandu to Besishahar – Chame headquarter of Manang district 270 kilometers, 11 to 12 hours by tourist bus and in Jeep. We will have a thrilling bus journey while driving along the road we can have a stunning Mountain terrain views towards us, such as Ganesh Himal range, Buddha Himal, Rani peak, group of Himalachuli, Ngadichuli, and Manasalu flowing down many white rivers and tributaries, green hills, the farmer’s cultivated terraced lands and villages. Overnight in Lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink service.

Day 04: We set off our trek to Pisang village 3,200 meters (10,498ft), 4 hours of walk. Overnight in the lodge:

From Chame we have two options to get Pisang Tibetan Buddhist inhabited settlement, walking along the newly opened road or by Jeep. If we take a Jeep we reach there within 30 to 45 minutes and on foot 4 hours. From today we will leave the tree line and gradual ascent to snowline. After checking in the room we hike to upper Pisang to gain altitude. As you trek to upper Pisang your back towards you can have fascinating views of Annapurna II 7,937 meters (26,040ft), Annapurna IV- 7,525 meters (24,688ft), Annapurna III- 7,555 meters (24,786ft). Today we spend overnight in the lodge including dinner and breakfast with hot drink service.

Day 05: Trek to Manang 3,540 meters (11,614ft), along the upper viewing way, 9 hours. Stay at the lodge:

Today we journey to Manang Tibetan Gurung village through the upper panoramic trail, like Ghyaru, Ngawal and Chulu villages. After crossing a well-made suspension bridge over Marsyandi river our trail climbs to Ghyaru village.  That offers superb views of your backward Pisang valley and Majestic of Annapurna II and Annapurna IV. The whole day we will have superb views of Annapurna Himalaya chain with large Buddhist Chortens (stupas), Buddhist Mani and Monasteries. Overnight at Lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 06: Manang acclimatization day with wonderful side trips. Overnight in the lodge:

 Today we explore some interesting places around Manang valley. We start the hike up crossing Marshyangdi River to visit wonderful Gangapurna Lake and hike up to Deurali approximately [4,200 meters/13,779ft] for magnificent views of Chulu west peak and Chulu east (It call Manang Himal too)  and others mountains. And there are other side trips like Milarepa Cave and Ice lake that are fabulous. Especially we recommend you to hike up to Ice Lake for the captivating Mountain views and gain altitude. As you hike to Ice Lake to gain altitude you will notice marked substantial view of Manang and Tilicho valley and chain Annapurna Himalaya. We stay in the same lodge with the usual service.

Day 07: Trek to Chuli Ledar 4,200 meters (13,779ft), 5 hours of an uphill trail. Stay at the lodge:

After leaving from large Tibetan Gurung Manang village the past permanently inhabited village the trail gradually climbs to Tengki Manang, that offers a fine views back-towards Manang village, Marsyandi river and Gangapurna turquoise Lake and then continues to climb out of the Marsyandi River valley to Chuli lather lodge passing the Yak Kharka summer Yak grazing lands. Today will have a stunning view of our back towards, Annapurna range beyond the Manang Himal. Especially this valley is flourished at the beginning of August to late September. While you trekking to the Thorong La pass sometimes it magically turns Snow leopard, Blue sheep, and Himalayan griffon on the way. Finally, we reach to Chuli Ledar lodge walking off 5 hours continues uphill today. We spend overnight in Lodge.

Day 08: Push to Thorong High Camp 4,925 meters (16,158ft), 4 hours of walk. Stay in the lodge:

From  Chuli Ledar the trail more gently climbs to up way crossing the well-made suspension bridge over Kone Khola, scree, rock falls zones and frozen streams in winter to new Phedi and Yak and Blue sheep grazing lands. Finally, we ascend uphill for the high camp primitive lodge with some difficulty, but the landscape is incomparable. There is a small viewpoint on high camp, from the top of viewpoint you have a substantial view of Chulu west trekking peak 6,419 meters, (21,029ft). It is a highly demanding trekking peak in Annapurna classic circuit trekking route. Overnight in lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink services like tea and coffee.

Day 09: Head out early in the morning for Thorong La pass 5,416 meters (17,769ft) and descend to Muktinath 3,760 meters (12,335ft), Stay in the lodge:

Today, we get up early in the morning at 05: 00 am for a light breakfast with a cup of tea. After breakfast, we head out to climb the famous Thorong La pass 5,416 meters (17,769ft). From high camp, the trail climbs again and climbs to Thorong La pass 5,416 meters (17,769ft). After continues pushing off 3 to 4 hours reach at pass 5,416 meters (17,769ft). The pass is indicated with prayer flags and stone cairns. The pass is usually snowbound from mid-December to late February.  And from the top the trail steadily drops to Phedi, the Mustang valley with dry landscape towards us and eye-catching views of Khatungkang 6484 meters (21,273ft) where we break off for hot lunch and relaxation. After some hour relaxation in Phedi, we descend to Muktinath the shrine place. Where is the good combination of Hinduism and Buddhism at the same place? We spend overnight in lodge.

Day 10: Trek to Jomsom 2,720 meters (8,923ft), 7 hours of down way headquarter of Mustang district. Stay in the lodge:

Departure of Muktinath the trail several times descends to Kaligandaki river sandbar with dry landscape. As you trek down to Jharkot and Kakbeni main entry gate way of upper Mustang valley the views is mind-blowing of Oasis the farmer’s cultivated lands and it’s towards views of Tilicho and Nilgiri. After sightseeing of Kakbeni village, we descend to Jomsom the head quarter of Mustang district following the Kaligandaki down River throughout the sandy bar. Finally, we reach to Jomsom windy valley walking off 7 to 8 hours from Muktinath. Jomsom is more possibly a tourist’s destination in this valley with many subjected to facilities like hotels, banks, Shops, Internet, Aero plane flights, Bus, Jeep so on. Today we celebrate our fantastic trek ending the day with singing and dancing. Overnight in lodge.

Day 11: Bus journey to Tatopani 1,190 meters (3,904ft), 3 to 4 hours. We stay in the lodge:

Today we make a thrilling bus journey to Tatopani (Hot spring) 1,190 meters (3,904ft), downhill following Kaligandaki River for 3 to 4 hours by bus. We drive passing the Marpha, Tukuche, Largung, and Kalopani the famous Thakali villages and apple gardens. Finally, we reach to evergreen lands where is we can see orange gardens and then we know we are closing to Tatopani [1,190 meters/3,904ft]. We stay in Lodge.

Day 12: Climb to Ghorepani 2,860 meters (9,383ft), through Shika village 7 to 8 hours of uphill walk. We stay in lodge:

After a short walk along the motor way, we cross the well-made suspension bridge over Kali Gandaki River and start to climb up way making long ascent passing the beautiful villages and cultivated the lands to Ghorepani Poon village. Ghorepani is surrounding by green lush forest like oak, pine and rhododendron trees. It is awesome in early April to late May. Specially the rhododendron and magnolia trees blooms throughout the hedgerows and the tree splashing the colour of joy and perfection. The end of March to mid-May whole landscape dominated by a flourished jungle of rhododendron. Today our day is exhausted but our back towards is fine of Dhaulagiri Mountain View. Finally, we reach Ghorepani Lodge walking off 7 to 8 hours a continue up way. We stay in Lodge included dinner and breakfast with hot drink service like tea and coffee.

Day13: Hike to Poon - hill 3,210 meters (10,530ft), sunrise view and trek down to Hille and drive to Sarangko 1,552 meters (5,092ft), birds-eye view of Pokhara. 8 to 9 hours:

This morning, we wake up early in the morning for hiking to up Poon - Hill 3,210 meters (10,531ft), the best panoramic views point. From the at an elevation of 3,210 meters (10,530f), you can have mind-blowing panoramic mountain views with sunrise at the top of Annapurna Himalaya range, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Manaslu ranges. The Pooh hill offers perfect panoramic views on a clear day. After some breath taking views of sunrise of Himalaya, we will switch back to Ghorepani Lodge After very meaningful hiking of Poon hill we descend to Tikhedhunga - Hile 1,430 meters (94,691ft) passing flourished jungle, and historical Gorkha army’s (Magar and Gurung) villages, Lodges and cultivated farmlands and finally we walk steep down on stone staircase and catch Jeep in Hile to Sarangkot. We stay in a lodge.

Day 14: Trek to Lakeside Hotel 820 meters (2,690ft) 2 hours of vertical down way. Hotel included breakfast service:

After an outstanding sight of surrounding green hills and miraculous Mountains views such as  Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Lamjung Himalayan, and others peaks and enchanting Pokhara valley with captivating lakes, we descend down vertical way to the lake side Hotel including breakfast service. Today is free sightseeing around lake side.

Day 15: Full day sightseeing around Pokhara valley like peace stupa, David falls and International museum:

Pokhara is surrounding by white snow-capped mountains and green hills. It is very beautiful. Where can enjoy doing more exhilarating outdoor adventure activities in Pokhara like paragliding, boating, cycling tour, Motor biking tour, caving and mountain flight. Today we visit around Pokhara valley, peace stupa, International mountain museum, lake side, and Mahendra cave.

Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu 1,350 meters (4,429ft), 6 to hours by tourist bus and transfer to Hotel included breakfast service:

After a fabulous Annapurna circuit classic trek, drive back to Kathmandu today with a scenic driving off 6 hours from Pokhara by tourist bus. We transfer you to Hotel included the breakfast service. And at 18: 00 pm we leave Nepali cultured restaurant for farewell dinner.

Day 17: Departure to Home, we drop you in International Airport in your flight checking time and say good bye you:

Eventually, we drop you in Kathmandu Tribhuwan international airport at the terminal room by private vehicle in your flight checking time and say you good bye with family behave.
