Lobuche and Island Peak climbing are among the best adventurous packages of Nepal. Combining these 2 together as one is bound to give you experience and memories of a lifetime!

Island peak was first ascended by Edmund Hillary and his team IN 1953 AD. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was also one of the climbers to successfully ascend to the top of Island Peak. Likewise, Laurance Nielson and Ang Gyalzen Sherpa were the first to ascend on Lobuche East peak back on 25th April, 1984.

Both Island peak climbing and Lobuche Peak Climbing are equally appealing with the stunning landscape of Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mt. Amadablam, Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse and Khumbu glacier from different angles.  Trekking in the trail, you will witness flora and faunas like musk-deer, Snow- leopard, Mountain-goat and Primula-denticulata (PrimRose), rhododendron, pine forest and so much more.

This trip also uncovers the pristine Sherpa culture of the Everest region; their lifestyle and settlements. How difficult is Island and Lobuche Peak Climbing?

Wondering about the difficulty of Island and Lobuche Peak climbing?

Both Island Peak and Lobuche Peak are renowned trekking peaks of Nepal above 6000 meters. These peaks do run the chances of altitude sickness because of the high altitude. Lobuche and Island Peak climbing falls in the category of strenuous trek. However, with some climbing training, fitness, trekking experience, prevention against altitude sickness and good choice of trekking time, this experience will be quite pleasant in addition to being challenging. Climbing Lobuche East is considered a bit easier than climbing Island peak. By taking proper acclimatization and rest in between, you needn’t be a seasoned or experienced climber to get through this journey.

Best time for Island and Lobuche Peak Climbing

Just like almost all other treks in Everest region, the best for Island and Lobuche Peak climbing is also during spring season and Autumn season. There are a number of reasons why both these peaks are at their best during these seasons. The stable weather, safe trekking routes, vivid mountain views and sharp forests views contribute in making these months (March, April, May, Mid-September to late November) suitable for Island and Lobuche Peak climbing.

Summer and Winter seasons are considered difficult. However, there is some discount provision and offer during these seasons. Also, during Summer and Winter season, the trekking trails are less crowded, so some months (early and late winter) of this season are felicitous for Island and Lobuche peak Climbing,
